The Course CHC33021 Certificate III in Individual Support

This qualification reflects the role of individuals in the community, home, or residential care setting who work under supervision and delegation as part of a multidisciplinary team, following an individualised plan to provide person-centred support to people who may require assistance due to aging, disability, or another reason.
These individuals take responsibility for their outputs within the context of their job function and delegation. Workers possess a broad range of factual, technical, and procedural knowledge, as well as some theoretical understanding of the principles and practices required to offer person-centred care.
This 52-week course offers 15 units of competency, 9 of which are core and 6 of which are elective.
To acquire this qualification, the candidate must have completed at least 120 hours of work, as specified in the Assessment Requirements for the units of competency.
To be eligible for work placements, candidates must have both a Working with Children Check and a National Police Check.
